Bruxism is a condition that includes the grinding or clenching of your teeth, most often while you sleep. As a result, severe tooth damage can occur, leaving you with significant pain in the morning, or even broken teeth. We can help to alleviate the symptoms of bruxism with a mouth guard. TMJOur jaw joint is known by the long name of temporomandibular joint, or more simply the TMJ. This joint is the jaw hinge, that allows us to move our jaw up and down, forwards, backward, and side-to-side. Alignment issues can prevent us from using this joint properly, this is known as TMD or temporomandibular joint disorders. We can evaluate the disorder and create a plan to correct the issue while also alleviating immediate discomfort.
